The Marching Unit had a great year last season, placing 13th (out of 17 groups) at the All States Championships at Giants Stadium. The Unit did not place as high as we had hoped, but it was a building year with the band being comprised of over 60% rookies! Also, when presented with the option of competing in an easier grouping, the entire unit voted to stay in the tougher Group III(Open).
We were very proud of every member!
We are excited about the upcoming 2006 fall season. This year, the Marching Unit will be performing a show featuring the music of Stevie Wonder, with some great songs. The show opens with Superstition, the Production number includes I Believe/Sir Duke, and the Closer is Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
The 2006 season has us competing in Group III(A). Our last year rookies are now experienced players and Mr. Pinto enters his ninth season with the Marching Unit, his fifth as Director!
Please join us in supporting these great kids!! Come out to the games and wear NBC BLUE!

Mission
The mission of the NBC Band Boosters is to advocate for the value of music education and provide volunteer and financial support for students and directors in the band program.
We provide the "behind the scenes" support to the marching unit such as moving all the equipment on and off the field, assisting with uniforming and repairs, video taping performances, getting publicity out on the great job the students do, providing refreshments after each performance, etc.
We also support the concert bands/stage bands by providing items such as recognition t-shirts, music folders, refreshments after each concert, etc.
